
The family of Bruce Willis has introduced the actor is struggling from a type of dementia termed frontotemporal dementia, or FTD for brief.

In a statement shared Thursday, his spouse and children said that when the news “is agonizing, it is a reduction to at last have a clear analysis.”

“Currently there are no treatment plans for the sickness, a reality that we hope can change in the a long time in advance. As Bruce’s issue innovations, we hope that any media notice can be centered on shining a mild on this sickness that desires far much more recognition and investigate,” the statement claimed.

Willis’ family members — which includes spouse Emma Heming Willis, ex-spouse Demi Moore and his daughters — 1st disclosed his analysis of aphasia again in 2022. They said at the time that Willis was struggling from a professional medical issue that was affecting his cognitive abilities and would be getting a break from performing.

“Bruce always thought in using his voice in the environment to assistance many others, and to elevate awareness about critical problems both equally publicly and privately,” his family’s new assertion said. “We know in our hearts that — if he could now — he would want to respond by bringing world attention and a connectedness with people who are also working with this debilitating disorder and how it impacts so several individuals and their family members.”

Willis’ most latest acting credit is “Detective Knight: Independence,” which was produced in January 2023 and is the 3rd installment of the thriller movie sequence “Detective Knight.” He also has motion movie “Assassin” slated for launch upcoming month.

Willis and Heming Willis share two daughters, Mabel and Evelyn. With Moore, he is father to daughters Rumer, Scout and Tallulah.

Rumer Willis is now expecting her first child with boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas.
