TAYLOR, B.C. — 4 municipalities in the Peace area are amid around 50 First Nations and local governments obtaining funding to improve crisis assist expert services (ESS).
Chetwynd, Dawson Creek, Hudson’s Hope and Taylor are among the communities obtaining funding from the provincial federal government.
More than $2.2 million from the Local community Unexpected emergency Preparedness Fund (CEPF) will reportedly assist communities to extend their ability to give ESS by means of volunteer recruitment, retention, training and acquiring tools.
