A Vancouver doctor has died while attempting to climb Mount Everest.
The UBC Division of Anesthesiology launched a statement expressing Dr. Pieter Swart was descending from Camp 4 immediately after a “respiratory event” when he died.

“Pieter was lost to us though bravely pursuing his desire of remaining on best of the planet, because he was 9. As many of you know Pieter had an insatiable wanderlust,” the division claimed in a assertion.
Swart is currently being remembered as a warm and caring medical doctor, husband and mum or dad of two developed children.
“Pieters’s sense of humour was next to none,” the assertion proceeds. “Laughing was generally component of the face and you always parted smiling. He was a dependable friend to a lot of.
“Pieter generally designed your day (and night time) much better when you interacted with him. He was a boet (brother) to so quite a few.”
